Sophie is a Geography graduate from Keble College, Oxford specialising in Environmental and Human Geography. She has tutored many students across a range of subjects and levels, including Maths, English, Geography and Oxbridge Admissions. Having attended Latymer Upper School in West London, a prestigious independent London day school, and with a sibling still at school, Sophie is familiar with the syllabi and how to help pupils flourish. She can add value to students’ learning trajectory, whether that be through a focus on work ethic and exam technique or refining knowledge in a subject area which they find more challenging.
Thus far, she has had a wonderful tutoring experience both online and in person, building up a strong relationship with each of her tutees and taking pride in watching them progress to reach their goals. Sophie is an enthusiastic, engaging and professional tutor who believes that tutees are more than capable of achieving their goals with the right guidance and some encouragement to build their confidence. She loves to work alongside tutees and watch them progress in a friendly but sometimes challenging environment which she believes is key to helping students unlock their full potential.
Outside of tuition, Sophie is a fitness enthusiast, keen cyclist and, since the start of the pandemic, an experimental baker. She is also passionate about sustainable fashion and is currently creating a shareable database of sustainable, ethical brands with a long-time friend.
